Softball team improved from last year

The softball team at City College finished their season with an overall record of 15-22 and 6-12 in the Pacific Coast Athletic Conference, logging six more wins than last year.

With nine returning freshman and the improvements the Lady Knights made this season, they are poised to improve further if they keep working together as a team.

The team will be losing five of its sophomores, including starting pitcher Micela Ross, who went 12-13 this season with a 3.65 ERA.

Head coach LeeAnn Taylor, who did not return requests for an interview, will be returning for the 2017 season.
