The San Diego Community College District has extended campus closures through Oct. 24 in wake of the county's wildfire emergency. The closure affects San Diego City, Mesa and Miramar colleges, as well as Continuing Education and district offices.

The San Diego Community College District has announced that City, Mesa and Miramar colleges will be closed Oct. 22 and 23 as the region deals with the worst wildfires in county history. Continuing Education and district offices will also be closed. Closures are effective at 3 p.m. Oct. 22, according to a statement from Chancellor Constance Carroll. Find updates at www.sdcity.edu.

As the county experiences perhaps the worst brushfires in its history, San Diego Community College District Chancellor Constance Carroll has announced that Mesa and Miramar colleges, City's sister campuses, will be closed today. Noe Rojas Contributor City College's Lady Knights battled it out against Imperial Valley College at home Oct. 3 with a 4-2 win. The Knights played Grossmont College on Oct. 5. Scores were not available at press time. Their next home game wil be against the Palomar Comets on Oct. 10.
