National Disabled Students Union

As quoted from Brian Keon “IT’s not our disability but our ability”.I met with some of the member of the National Disabled Students Union and they gave me some good information. Many students here on campus might have a disability and not know it.What the National Disabled Student Union stand for is for awareness of your rights as a disabled student. They promote awareness rights through community service and through oncampus meetings. One of their landmark achievements so far has been finally getting recognized here on campus as a club. They have about 25 students and they’re recruiting more heavily. There is about approximately 500 or so disabilities that you as a student may qualify for. Some examples are disagraphia, learning, mental and physical. Anytime you are diagnosed with a disability you can qualify for services through DSPS.Anyone can join the National Disabled Students Union.
